In 2024, Tolyatti State University, in preparation for the week of project activities, made a request to Alvirity, a resident of the Zhiguli Valley high-tech technology park, which develops intelligent software and virtual and augmented reality applications. The request was for the provision of three projects for students as part of the project creation intensive - StartUpWeek 2024. Since the ALVIRITY team are innovators and experts in the trend of new high technologies, Alexey Sergeevich Vorobyov, CEO, is a graduate and expert of Tolyatti State University, 3 projects were proposed for implementation. One of these projects was a simulator for designing and controlling unmanned aerial vehicles in virtual reality with an intelligent assistant based on artificial intelligence. This project was chosen for the implementation of StartUpWeek 2024 by TSU student Daniil Alexandrovich Samoilov, in which during the project week Daniil took the role of tutor of the project team, and at the end of the project week Daniil continued its implementation as a leader. With the support of Alvirity, a team of competent students was formed over the next year, the project's terms of reference were developed and a minimum viable product was implemented, as a result of which it was decided to participate in the Student Startup competition from the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation with the project "Development of a simulator and construction of UAVs in virtual reality with an intelligent assistant based on artificial intelligence", in which Daniil Alexandrovich Samoilov is the project manager, and Alexey Sergeevich Vorobyov is the scientific supervisor. Special thanks to Oksana Mikhailovna Gushchina, Director of the Institute of Digital Technologies at Tolyatti State University, for her special contribution to helping the project to form a team of talented students for the project, as well as to the Zhiguli Valley High Technology Technology Park for providing opportunities and space for the project. Following the results of the Student Startup competition (turn VI) from the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation, the foundation's experts decided to award the project the status of the winner of the competition, the feasibility of implementing and financing the grant. This story is not just about winning, but about how the synergy of university, business and talented students is able to create new technologies. It clearly shows that in today's world, not only an idea is important, but also the ability of a team to bring it to a result, relying on professional mentoring and support.
